“I established The Shisei Method with the aim of enhancing individuals' posture and wellness”

I am a former Singapore Ballet dancer (Singapore Dance Theatre), had been dancing professionally for over 7 years with the company.
Having experienced many injuries from a young age, I have always been interested in how the human body works. I discovered the International Pilates Certificate course while dancing with Singapore Dance Theatre. Through Pilates, I also learnt anatomy, which gave me a deeper understanding of the body’s mechanisms for ballet movement and also helped me to prevent injuries from dancing to my body’s limits.

I had finally found what I was looking for all this time. A place where I could rely on body conditioning, both for release and strengthening, to continually improve my physical condition. This discovery led me to start Shisei.
Due to reduced movement during Covid-19, people finally started to realise the importance of their own health. They may have felt physical discomfort due to reduced walking and exercise time, or poor posture caused by long hours at the desk. These experiences led me to become an instructor of the IMPHY Release Stick, which I encountered as a myofascial release tool to further improve my knowledge and skills in total body conditioning, and in 2022 I became the first overseas IMPHY Master Instructor.
